NPFL: Promotion and demotion as 3SC beats Rangers

Shooting Stars of Ibadan continue their quest for a continental ticket as dent Rangers’ title bid after beating the league leaders 1-0 in Ibadan on Wednesday.
Former Flying Eagles forward Christian Pyagbara scored the decisive goal in the 13th minute.
In Ikenne, Remo Stars moved within two points of Rangers, following a comfortable 4-1 win over Heartland.
Stanley Joseph bagged a brace, while Franck Mawuena and Jide Fatokun scored the other goals for the hosts.
Heartland was relegated to the Nigeria National League following the defeat.
Holders Enyimba dropped to third place on the table after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bayelsa United.
Alade Balogun gave Enyimba the lead in the 20th minute, while Ekeson Okorie equalised for the visitors 10 minutes before the break.
Meanwhile, Nasarawa United and El-Kanemi Warriors have secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The two clubs confirmed their promotion to the NPFL at the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoff on Wednesday.
Nasarawa United finished the Northern Conference with nine points from three games after beating Sporting Supreme 2-1 in their last group game.
El-Kanemi Warriors also secured their ticket following a comprehensive 4-1 win over Sokoto United.
The Maiduguri club finished second on the log with six points from three games.
They are joined by Beyond Limits and Ikorodu City.
Beyond Limits finished top of the Southern Conference table with seven points.
They defeated Inter Lagos 1-0 in their last group game.
Ikorodu City beat Madiba FC 2-0, to secure a second promotion spot with five points
