NPFL: Plateau United and Enyimba stake their credentials to win the 2024/25 title
Plateau United technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut has set his sights on winning the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League title.
Mbwas urged his players to be ready for the challenges ahead of the new season.
He also assured all players of equal opportunities in the team.
“Last season we lost out on our targets by a few mistakes and I believe we all know that and we can’t repeat that mistake,” he stated in his address to the players.
“The goal and the target for the new season isn’t even second we have to go for the NPFL title.
“Obey all the codes and conducts by giving your all in the field and everybody will be useful in the team.
Every player should be rest assured to have the opportunity to play in the team.”
Plateau United will battle with El-Kanemi Warriors in their opening fixture of the new season.
The Chairman of Enyimba Football Club and ex-international Nwankwo Kanu has expressed confidence in the team’s ability to achieve great things in the upcoming season.
Ahead of the new season, the ex-international has vowed to restore the team’s glory days.
“As a former player, I know what it takes to succeed at the highest level,” Kanu said.
“I believe in this team and the talent we have. We’ve been working hard to strengthen our squad and improve our strategies, and I’m excited to see the results.
“We have improved all around and we are committed to doing better,” Kanu added.
“Our coaching staff, players, and entire management team are working together to achieve excellence. I’m confident that our fans will be proud of our accomplishments.
“We will work tirelessly to ensure that Enyimba FC returns to its winning ways and cements its position as one of the top teams in the country.
“I’m excited for the future and I believe that together, we can achieve great things.”
With two CAF Champions League titles and nine league titles, Enyimba are the most successful team in Nigeria.
Following the exit of Finidi George as the team’s coach, Enyimba has appointed his assistant, Yemi Olanrewaju, as the team’s coach ahead of next season.
