NPFL: Pillars gets new board as Okon leaves Remo for Rivers United

Rivers United has wrapped up the signing of forward Aniekeme Okon from Remo Stars, according to the Daily Post.
Okon left the Sky Blue Stars following the expiration of his contract.
He signed a two-year contract with the former Nigeria Premier Football League champions.
Okon is expected to be unveiled as a new Rivers United player before the start of the new season.
He will team up with his teammates at the ongoing pre-season tournament in Ikenne.
Okon is a former Nigeria U-20 international.
Meanwhile, a new interim management board has been appointed for Nigeria Premier Football League side, Kano Pillars.
According to a press release by the Kano State government, the new board will be headed by Ali Nayara Mai Samba.
The new interim board has 13 members.
The chairman and its members are expected to resume work with immediate effect.
Kano Pillars are currently taking part in a pre-season tournament in Enugu.
The Sai Masu Gida will face promoted NPFL side, Ikorodu City in their opening fixture of the season.
