Nasarawa United secure their first victory of the season on Saturday by defeating Kwara United by 2- 0 putting an end to a winless six matches on the bounce.

Going into matchday seven a game on Saturday afternoon, Nassarawa United is the only team with no vi story in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL since the beginning of the season.

Goals from King Osanga in the 10th minute and Chinedu Ohanacom in the 54th minute with the second goal ensuring the first maximum of three points on the Lafia-based team.

The result now takes their points haul to 4 points and piles the pressure on Kwara United, the team has now lost a back-to-back game after securing their only win in the season two weeks ago and the pressure is mounting on coach AbduAzeez Mohammed of Katsina United after the expiration of his two-match ultimatum to turn things for the Afonja Warriors.

Meanwhile, in faraway Gombe, Enyimba of Aba proves that class is permanent indeed when the Finidi-led boys came from a goal down to beat United by 2-1.

Gombe United shot into the lead in the encounter through Taye Yusuf in the 15th minute, starting on a good note after denting Bendel Insurance's hundred percent win record in the league last weekend at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin.

But Akani Elijah equalized for Enyimba International in the 35th minute, while Chukwuemeka Obioma scored the winner in the 53rd minute securing the people's second maximum point on the road.

The result meant Enyimba leapfrog Remo Stars into second position in group A at least for the next 24 hours pending the results of Remo Stars vs Plateau United in Ikenne on Sunday.

Also, Obioma can't top score as he netted his fifth of the season and he has now scored in all his last four games, to hit the highest number this season while we await other players to hit the bulls on Sunday as eight games are lined up for Sunday.
