NPFL: MFM aim to bounce back against Shooting Stars
MFM-NPFL
Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries Football Club of Lagos has a mountain to climb when they file out this evening against the Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
The club has struggled to make their last season's performance count following their below-par performance eight weeks into the season and are currently 20th on the log with 6 points from 8 matches.
Today's clash against The Oluyole Warriors would go a long way to determine the fate of the coaching staff as the Lagos-based side continues to sink in relegation morass. MFM has struggled to score goals having scored four and conceded 14 goals this season.
Still basking in the euphoria of their 2-1 home win over Kwara United on matchday 8, Shooting Stars will be coming into the encounters with much confidence knowing full well that a win against MFM will see them move away from their 15th position on the NPFL standings.
In his words, 3SC gaffer, Edith Agoye believes picking three points at the Teslim Balogun is non-negotiable, adding that such feat will go along to help push the Oluyole Warriors out of the drop zone.
"It is very important for us to get all maximum points against MFM in Lagos. Last Sunday’s win over Kwara United was a turnaround for us.
“If we can pick a win in Lagos, we would have succeeded in further pushing the team out of the drop zone and this will also boost the confidence of the boys as the campaign continues”, the 3SC gaffer told Goalgettermedia.com
