NPFL: Kwara United to beef up squad with new players
Kwara United technical adviser, Tunde Sanni, has revealed that the team will be reinforced with quality players ahead of the second half of the season.
Sanni stated that to ensure a successful campaign, there is a need for a formidable squad.
“About two to four players will link up with us to beef up the team and also provide good substitutes on the bench,” Sanni stated.
Sanni’s side recorded six wins, five draws, and seven defeats in 18 games during the first half of the season.
Kwara United occupies the 12th position on the NPFL table with 23 points.
The Harmony Boys will take on Enyimba in a rescheduled Matchday 16 fixture on Wednesday, January 15.
Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance captain Efe Enabulele has admitted that the team still needs significant improvement before the commencement of the second half of the season.
The Benin Arsenals returned to training on Wednesday after the New Year break.
Bendel Insurance currently occupies 15th position on the league table with 21 points from 19 games.
Enabulele expressed satisfaction with the players’ response after the resumption.
“I am very happy with the turnout of the players after the short break,” Enabulele told Bendel Insurance Media.
“We are all happy to return to the field because we have a lot of work to do and gaps to cover.”
Bendel Insurance will face Enyimba at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium when the second stanza resumes on Saturday, January 25.
