Kano Pillars coach, Salisu Yusuf has sent jitters down the spine of Kano Pillars players, after his side loss 0-1 recorded against visiting Plateau United in their NPFL 2021/2022 Match Day 12 encounter, last Sunday.

Salisu who could not conceal his disappointment over the loss at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, the adopted home ground of the Kano side, have holistically disclosed that some players on the payroll of the club will be sent packing.

The media officer of the club, Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu quoted the coach saying “some players must go.”

According to Garu, a vast number of the attackers recruited by the club have so far performed woefully. , lamenting that after 12 matches, their score sheet records is unimpressive.

Salisu heaped blame on the recruitment process that was conducted before he took charge at Sai Masu Gida.

Lurwanu further quoted Salisu noting that “32 players were r registered before he arrived the club, he only brought three to four new players along with him to the club.”

Salisu revealed that the club will utilize the open window provided by the mid-season break to shop and recruit better legs, “before the situation gets out of control.”

The coach said the efforts made by the defense line and the midfield failed to yield dividends due to feeble striking force.

He assured the club fans that the technical crew would continue to work hard to build a solid side that will bring smiles to the faces of Kano football fans.
