Rangers have started preparation for the new season.

The Enugu club will face Comoros club Zilimadjou in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League next month.

Meanwhile, Bayelsa United players are expected back in camp next week Thursday for the resumption of training activities ahead of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

All the retained players are to report to the team’s camp in Opolo on the resumption day.

According to the club, the early resumption is to enable the team to prepare adequately for the new season.

The Prosperity Boys will engage in a series of friendlies before the start of the new season.

Bayelsa United managed to escape relegation last season.

The new NPFL season will kick off on Saturday, August 31.
