NPFL: Encounter between Akwa United vs Bendel Insurance postponed
The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 16 fixture involving Akwa United and Bendel Insurance has been postponed.
The encounter has been moved to Monday, December 9 from the initial date of Sunday, December 8.
The game will kick off at 4 pm.
The match was shifted due to the CAF Confederation Cup game between Enyimba and Egyptian giants Zamalek at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Sunday.
The venue is the home ground of Akwa United in the NPFL.
The Promise Keepers will host Bendel Insurance at the same venue on the new date.
The rearrangement was contained in a letter signed by Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer, and COO, of the league.
Elsewhere, Rangers General Manager Amobi Ezeaku believed that with togetherness the team can achieve greater things this season in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
The reigning NPFL champions are unbeaten in their last eight games in the league.
The Flying Antelopes have registered 24 points from 15 games this season.
Ezeaku enjoined the players to be committed to the task ahead in the NPFL.
“I enjoined all of you to put your mind to the task,” Ezeaku stated to the players in his address.
“Last week I told you all that we should look at our current position on the log compared to last season, you will see it better this season, that means we are heading somewhere so with togetherness we can make the best of what we have now.”
Rangers will lock horns with Rivers United in their next NPFL game on Sunday.
