NPFL: Dogo and Olarewaju move to El-Kanemi Warriors and Rivers United, respectively

Nomadic coach Kabiru Dogo is set to take charge as Technical Adviser of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL club, El-Kanemi Warriors.

The position became vacant following the departure of Aliyu Zubairu.

Zubairu opted not to renew his two-year contract, which is due to expire at the end of this month.

He has been linked with the El-Kanemi Warriors’ coaching job.

Dogo was sacked by Nasarawa United midway through the season.

The tactician reportedly arrived in Maiduguri on Thursday to finalise his contract with the Borno Army.

He has previously managed Kwara United and ABS FC.

Elsewhere, Rivers United have confirmed the appointment of Yemi Olanrewaju as their new Chief Coach.

Olanrewaju takes the place of Evans Ogenyi, who recently left the position following the expiration of his contract.

The young tactician was sacked by Enyimba midway through last season.

The former Golden Eaglets assistant coach is reuniting with Finidi George after their previous spell at Enyimba.

He is expected to start work immediately at the Port Harcourt club.

Rivers United started pre-season training last Monday.

Finidi’s side finished second in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, last season.
