NPFL: Boost for Shooting Stars ahead of second stanza as injured duo are back

Shooting Stars have received a significant boost with the return to full fitness of Mustapha Adams and Monday Gideon.
Adams and Gideon have resumed training after recovering from injuries sustained earlier in the season.
Their return is a major boost for the Oluyole Warriors, who have performed admirably this season.
Meanwhile, the duo of Muritala Taiye and Abdullahi Lawal remain the only players on the Ibadan club’s treatment table.
Gbenga Ogunbote’s side is currently pushing for a continental slot next season.
Shooting Stars presently occupy third position on the NPFL table with 33 points.
Meanwhile, the NPFL has placed a ban on Sunshine Stars welfare officer, Abdulrahman Abdulsalam.
Abdulsalam has been banned for three matches with immediate effect.
The Sunshine Stars official has been barred from all the club’s activities for the duration of the ban.
The NPFL charged Abdulsalam for unguarded public statements.
The sanctions, according to the NPFL is a corrective measure to ensure that all participants hold the league to high standards.
Abdulsalam has also tendered an apology for his misconduct and unguarded public statements.
