NPFL adjusts match dates as Gombe wants to disunite Plateau United

The organizers of the Nigeria Premier Football League has rescheduled some of the matchday five, six and seven fixtures.

The encounter involving Rivers United and Lobi Stars at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium has been rescheduled to Sunday, October 29.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 28.

Other games postponed are the Doma United versus Bendel Insurance tie and Lobi Stars against Rangers.

The matchday six encounter have been shifted from Wednesday, November 1st to Thursday, November 2nd.

Bendel Insurance and Remo Stars matchday seven fixture has been moved from Saturday, November 4 to Sunday N,ovember 5.

 

The other fixture between Bayelsa United versus Lobi Stars game changed from Sunday, November 5 to Monday, November 6.

The NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi stated that the rescheduling was due to logistics reasons.

Owumi urged the clubs to ensure that necessary logistics are put in place for hitch-free games.

Elsewhere, Gombe United General Manager, Abubakar Yellow has charged his players to go for victory in their matchday five fixture against Plateau United.

Yellow made the call during a visit to the Savannah Scorpions training ground on Wednesday evening.

He commended the players for their remarkable performance against Enyimba and Bendel Insurance at the Pantami Stadium this season.

“We’ve shown our mettle at home, and now it’s time to prove ourselves on the road,” he told the players during his visit.

“The upcoming match against Plateau United on matchday five is a must-win and an opportunity for the team to solidify their position in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).”

Gombe United will battle the Peace Boys at the Pantami Stadium on Saturday.
