Not just Jesus Arsenal also want Abraham

Arsenal are set to renew their interest in former Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham during the summer transfer window following his 24-goal debut season under Jose Mourinho at Roma

The Gunners will go for Abraham if they secure a top-four finish and reach the Champions League for the first time since 2016/17.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was desperate to sign him 12 months ago from Chelsea before he linked up with Jose Mourinho in Serie A.

Roma pipped the Gunners to the post with a compelling salary package and guaranteed first-team football, which the England international couldn’t refuse - but his time at the club might be limited to a single season.

Chelsea have a £68m buy-back option that they can activate next summer, but he could be set for a Premier League return regardless.

If Champions League football is secured, Arsenal are prepared to seize the initiative and present the Serie A outfit with a £50 million offer once this season ends.

Abraham is happy in the eternal city, but wouldn't be averse to returning to London where he has family and friends.

Meanwhile, Brazil striker  Gabriel Jesus also wanted by Arsenal scored four times as Manchester City crushed Watford 5-1 to move four points clear at the top of the Premier League on Saturday.

Jesus stole the show at the Etihad Stadium with the first Premier League haul of three or more goals in his career.

The Brazilian forward had netted only once in the league since September, but he tore Watford to shreds with a predatory display of finishing.

He struck twice in the first half before Watford’s Hassane Kamara briefly reduced the deficit.

Rodri restored City’s two-goal advantage and Jesus bagged two more after halftime to complete the rout.
