The Super Eagles are getting all the support ahead of their must-win clash against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia tonight

Apart from the millions of Nigerians; including President Muhamadu Buhari who are rooting for the Eagles, former Arsenal and ex-Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayor has also declared support for Nigeria.

Adebayor who played not just for Arsenal but the rival club Tottenham explained why he wants the Super Eagles to defeat Tunisia in Sunday's AFCON 2021 round of 16 tie.

Indeed, three-time AFCON winners Nigeria go into the tie as favourites after winning all their group games.

For Tunisia, they won one and lost two of their preliminary stage fixtures and had to qualify for the knockout round as one of the best third-placed teams.

And in a video published on the Twitter handle of popular BBC sports journalist, Mimi Fawaz, the former Arsenal and Real Madrid star explained:“We are all behind you guys and you know why because originally my parents are from Nigeria and I’m a Nigerian so you guys have to win for me. If you don’t want to win for yourself it’s your problem but do it for me.

“Let’s go guys, Super Eagles lets do it.”

The last time both teams met at the AFCON in the third-place match in Egypt 2019 which the Eagles won 1-0

Having emerged as the only team to win all their three group games at the ongoing Afcon tournament in Cameroon, the Eagles are beginning to command more followership across the continent and beyond.
