Niger Tornadoes down Dakkada as NPFL second stanza resumes

Two quick first-half goals from David Okoromi and Emmanuel Jonas in the sixth minute and 15th minutes respectively ensured that Niger Tornadoes makes a winning start to the second stanza of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL with a 2-1 defeat of Dakkada at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday.
Aniekan Ekpe scored Dakkada FC's only goal of the match from the penalty spot, which could only serve as a consolation.
The defeat further compounds Dakkada FC's woes, the team failed to add to the seven points haul they ammassed at the end of the first stanza as they are rooted at the bottom of the group B log.
On the other hand, Niger Tornadoes boosted their chances of making the top three, they will fancy their chances after the massive away three points.
The minna based team now has 15 points in fourth position of group B same point as Subshine on third but with fewer goals difference.
Nine more matches will be played on Sunday to complete the week 10 matchday which marks the beginning of the second stanza of the abridged 2023 NPFL season.
