Feelers from Abuja suggest the sports ministry and the NFF are not done yet with their plans to carry out a major shake-up among the senior national team coaching staff.

There are strong indications that the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) bigwigs are toying with the idea of appointing erstwhile Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama to replace Alloy Agu, 234sportsng.com scooped.
Barely 48 hours after former Tanzania gaffer, Emmanuel Amuneke was drafted into Super Eagles backroom staff by the sports ministry, feelers from Abuja revealed that the sports ministry and NFF are not done yet with their plans to carry out major shake-up among the senior national team coaching staff.
234sportsng.com decent source revealed on Friday that the move was mooted by sports minister, Sunday Dare, and  NFF President, Amaju Pinnick is bent on providing the team with the best expertise needed to outwit Ghana in the forthcoming Qatar 2022 world cup playoffs.

Towards this end, there have been talks of drafting in Enyeama to replace Alloy Agu who has been in charge since the appointment of Sunday Oliseh.
The reasons behind this move, 234sportsng.com gathered may not be unconnected with the way and manner Nigeria was bundled out of AFCON, coupled with the talks among NFF bigwigs on the need to allow a breath of fresh air in the coaching department.
" The move to replace Alloy Agu has been on since the night Nigeria crashed out of AFCON. Although no one in the FA singled out Okoye for Super Eagles ouster, some NFF bigwigs felt perhaps it's time to try someone else in the goalkeeping department," our source revealed on Friday evening.
It remains to be seen if the Lille goalkeeper will accept the offer after he 37-year old was appointed as a goalkeepers’ coach at the fifth tier of French football club side, Club de Croix in 2020.
