Serie A club Napoli may have sanctioned the exit of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as they have started looking for a replacement for the promising striker.

With links between interested suitors and Osimhen getting stronger by the day, Napoli are somewhat prepared to lose their star striker after his breakthrough season at the Partenopei.

Offers have already arrived from Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United. Taking that into consideration, the southern giants are already evaluating options for a centre-forward as a direct replacement.

According to UK media outlet BBC (via Calciomercato), Napoli have taken interest in Chelsea loanee Armando Broja, who is currently experiencing a spell at Southampton.

Romelu Lukaku’s arrival into the team at the start of the season dictated a loan move to be in the best interests of the development of the 20-year-old, and he has since shone with the Saints, scoring 9 goals and registering 5 assists in 36 appearances so far.

His form has impressed more than most this season, with Napoli said to have shortlisted the youngster as Osimhen’s successor.

The Albania international is valued at €20m by Chelsea, with his contract there expiring only in the summer of 2026.

However, Southampton manager Ralph Hassenhuttl is keen to keep the Chelsea youth product for another season in Hampshire in order to fasten his development.

Having already secured the services of Kvaratskhelia, Napoli are keen on adding more firepower to their forward line, and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli appears to be impressed by Broja’s growth.
