Napoli coach describes €50M Saudi offer to Osimhen as ‘indecent.’

New Napoli coach Rudi Garcia has tagged the offers arriving from Saudi Arabia for striker Victor Osimhen as ‘indecent,’ just days after Al-Hilal upped their interest in the recently-crowned Capocannoniere.

The Saudi Arabian outfit, who recently signed Malcom, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and Kalidou Koulibaly, reportedly bid a contract worth a whopping €50M net per season.

Speaking to Sky Italia after the 1-0 preseason victory against FC Augsburg thanks to Amir Rrahmani’s solo header, Garcia shed light on the unhinged transfer market offers.

“There are players who are at the end of their career and then it is understandable that they go to Saudi Arabia. Anyone in the world would not refuse these offers, which is indecent at times. But when you’re a fully mature player, when your best seasons arrive, you don’t even look at this. I’m not Victor, so ask him.”

The 24-year-old Nigerian marksman is amid a contract renewal saga with Partenopei chief Aurelio De Laurentiis. According to Sky Italia, Napoli are considering the inclusion of a separate release clause for Saudi-based clubs – expectedly double to that applicable for European clubs.
