After losing the first set, Rafa Nadal came back comfortably to win his first US open match against Australian Rinky Hijikata.

The post-match press conference was arguably more testing for Rafa than the game itself, as he was accused by one overly persistent journalist of manipulating the match rules.

The journalist claimed that Rafa was taking too long to take his serve during the match and that the judges were equally culpable for not taking any action against the Spaniard.

Rafa clearly didn't see the funny side. "I think it's a joke", he said in response. "I've been given many warnings in my career as as tennis player but never for breaking a racket, never for making a mess on court."

Nadal somewhat ironically said that he did have one problem, which was sweating on court. With a rather irritated tone, the tennis player from Mallorca ironically justified that "when you play in these humid conditions you sweat a lot" and that as a result, he needed time to wipe himself down before serving.

He was also quick to squash accusations that he is treated differently by umpires. "I don't waste time and I don't think i'm treated differently".
