Despite winning 36 Masters 1000 titles, Rafael Nadal is still eager to fight for the trophies at the elite ATP level.

The Spaniard entered the season with 398 Masters 1000 victories, and he did not need much time to secure the milestone 400th win at this level, becoming the first player to accomplish that!

Rafa is through into the last 16 in Indian Wells, defeating Sebastian Korda and Daniel Evans to reach the milestone before Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

Nadal's career has always been linked with the Masters 1000 events, making a debut in Monte Carlo 2016 as a qualifier and scoring two wins to make a name for himself.

Rafa became a Masters 1000 champion in 2005, lifting four titles in his last entire teenage season and earning many records in the years to come.

Nadal has raised at least one Masters 1000 trophy in 15 of the previous 17 seasons, and he should add another year with the Masters 1000 shield soon if he maintains a high level in Indian Wells or during the clay season.

Rafa needed only 124 Masters 1000 events to deliver the 400th victory, advancing into 97 quarter-finals, 75 semi-finals and 52 title clashes!

The Spaniard was on the verge of defeat in the second round versus Sebastian Korda, trailing 5-2 in the decider and earning two crucial breaks in the last moments to erase the deficit and bring the victory home.

In the third round, the 35-year-old made a slow start against Daniel Evans before earning a 7-5, 6-3 win to write another page of record books.

Rafa defeated Daniel in straight sets for the third time, taking 15 points more and defending three out of four break chances to keep the pressure on the other side.

The Briton led 4-2 in the opener before the Spaniard raised his level to claim five of the last six games and avoid the setback.

Nadal grabbed an early break in set number two and kept it until the end to cross the finish line and advance into the last 16 with a forehand winner in game nine.

Rafa will face Reilly Opelka in the fourth round, hoping to extend the winning streak and deliver the 18th victory from as many matches in
