Nigeria football legend and Enyimba FC of Aba Coach Finidi George has been reprimanded by the League Management Company (LMC)  for publicly questioning the horrible performance of referee Adebimpe Quadri in a recent match against Heartland of Owerri.

Biased and unfair officiating has been the bane of Nigeria football for ages.

Instead of the NFF and LMC putting their houses in order, they resort to bullying managers, players and clubs that question the injustice in the league.

Finidi is the latest to be rebuked for what they term, ‘his disparaging statement to the media which publicly questioned the performance and integrity of the match officials after the game in Owerri.’ 

After the shameful officiating at the match, George threatened to leave NPFL.

George in a tear-laden voice called on journalists to report what they see at different venues in the Nigeria Professional Football League saying football cannot grow this way.

Finidi in an interview he granted after the loss to heartland in Owerri asked journalists whether they watch the match and they should report what they see

‘‘did you watch the match, If I say something then I am leaving this league, you cannot play football this way and expect to get another result and that is what we are experiencing nationwide. You all saw the game and I am not going to comment about that, winning or no winning it should be better and games like this should be better and I wish you guys are doing a better job, you all watch the game and it is not about coaching,I t is not about anything,the league should be better than this’’
