Liverpool vs. Tottenham and other exciting match-up in the EPL on Saturday

The 2023/24 Premier League season resumes Saturday with the table expected to change in shape. The contenders are starting to get separated from the pretenders, while the relegation battlers are becoming clear.

While teams like Manchester City and Liverpool will continue their title charge after an impressive start to the season, newly promoted clubs like Luton Town and Burnley will look to end their disastrous run of form and get back to winning ways.

Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace

The Red Devils are coming into this game on the back of a comprehensive victory against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup. After losing three games on the bounce, Erik ten Hag’s men have bounced back with two back-to-back wins and clean sheets. They will be the favourites heading into this contest.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are winless in their last three matches across all competitions. They have lost four of their last six matches against Manchester United, and their record at Old Trafford is quite poor. The South Londoners have lost their last four away matches at Old Trafford and the Red Devils should be able to pick up all three points here.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal

The Cherries have failed to win a single league game so far, and they are 17th in the Premier League table. However, they picked up a 2-0 win over Stoke City in the League Cup during midweek, and it remains to be seen whether they can build on that performance.

The Gunners have won six of the last seven matches against the Cherries and they will be firm favourites to win here.

The last six meetings between these two sides have produced a total of 20 goals, and a high-scoring game is on the cards as well. Bournemouth have failed to win their last 10 league matches, and their poor run of form in the league is set to continue.

Wolves vs. Manchester City

The defending champions have won all six of their league matches so far, and they will be overwhelming favourites heading into this game. The midweek defeat against Newcastle United in the League Cup will give them ample motivation to step up and get the job done here.

Wolves have failed to win five of their last six league matches, and they will have to play out of their skin in order to get something out of this contest. Manchester City have won the last six matches against Wolves, and they have scored at least three goals in five of those outings.

Tottenham vs Liverpool

Arguably the most exciting clash of the weekend, both teams are in fine form right now, and this should be a cracking contest. Liverpool have picked up 16 points from six matches, and Spurs have raked in 14 points in that time.

Both teams are unbeaten in the league, and they have scored 15 goals so far. The last six meetings between these two sides have produced a total of 23 goals and this one is likely to be packed with action as well.

Although the Reds have won nine of their last 11 matches against Tottenham, this is likely to be an evenly-matched contest and the two teams are likely to share the spoils. A high-scoring game is definitely on the cards. Bet on both teams to score and over 2.5 goals.

Nottingham Forest vs Brentford

Both teams are in poor form right now, and they are separated by just one point in the table. Nottingham Forest are coming into this game on the back of a defeat against Manchester City, whereas Brentford have lost the last two league matches against Newcastle and Everton.

Both teams will be desperate to bounce back strongly and it remains to be seen who comes out on top. The last four meetings between these two sides have seen both teams get on the scoresheet and a total of 13 goals have been scored in that time.

Another high-scoring affair is on the cards here and both teams will look to outscore each other. Over 2.5 goals seem likely.

Fulham vs Chelsea

Chelsea picked up just one win in the Premier League so far. And for a club of their stature, it is a disastrous start. Mauricio Pochettino will be desperate to pick up all three points against their London rivals and it remains to be seen whether they can step up and deliver.

The Blues have failed to win 9 of their last 10 matches in the league and they have failed to score in their last three. That said, they have an impressive record against Fulham and they are unbeaten in five of their last six meetings against their London rivals.

Fulham are unbeaten in four of their last six league matches, and it remains to be seen whether they can grind out a positive result at home. This is likely to be a close contest but Chelsea have enough quality to grind out a positive result.

The Blues picked up a narrow win over Brighton in the midweek and that will have given them some much-needed confidence boost. A narrow win for Chelsea seems likely.
