Kano Pillars coach blames poor organization for defeat by Sporting Lagos

Kano Pillars Technical Adviser, Abdulahi Maikaba said that poor organisation was the reason his team lost to Sporting Lagos..The Sai Masu Gida were defeated 3-0 in the matchday seven fixture at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

It was Maikaba’s side fourth away defeat of the campaign.

Former Kano Pillars forward Junior Lokosa scored a brace against the Pillars.

Maikaba assured that he will work on his team’s lapses ahead of the next game.

“It’s a very poor first half as my boys were not organised which caused all the three goals we conceded,” he told DAILY POST after the game.

“In the second half we tried to organise things a little to manage the situation.

“We are going to prepare very well in the next game.”

Kano Pillars will take on Enyimba in a week eight fixture at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, this weekend.

Meanwhile, Lokosa was left almost speechless after scoring a brace against his former club, Kano Pillars.

Lokosa had a memorable time with the Sai Masu Gida during the 2018 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

He netted 19 times to win the top scorer award during that campaign.

The 30-year-old, who did not celebrate after scoring the two goals, admitted it was a tough moment for him.

“I felt very happy scoring for my team Sporting Lagos, Kano Pillars is also my team,”

“The name I have today is from Kano Pillars, it is emotional for me and I feel pained but this is my job.

“I want to appreciate the fans for the support throughout the encounter.”

Lokosa has scored three goals this season.
