The President of the newly formed Nigeria Mixed Martial Arts Federation, NMMAF, Ambassador Henry George has expressed optimism that the duo of Kamaru Usman and Isreal Adesanya will cooperate with the federation to ensure Nigeria develops her MMA artists to become world beaters. www.234sportsng.com reports.
In a chat with a section of the media on Thursday, Ambassador George share the vision and mission of the newly berthed federation by the Federation Ministry of Youth and Sports.
During the interactive session, the president elaborated that developing the potential of Nigeria's MMA grassroots fighters is one of the cardinals of the Federation and revealed that NMMAF is looking forward to working with the two Nigerian UFC greats in achieving this noble objective.
The NMMAF chief believed that the passion shown by the duo for developing the art in Nigeria is superb and having a federation makes it easier for them to reach the grassroots and develop it faster.
Ambassador George said:
" Looking at our brothers Isreal Adesanya and Kamaru Usman, we can see that they have passion about what is happening in Nigeria"
and our homegrown fighters".
" No wonder you see what Kamaru is doing with his promotion, faceoff, where he tries to organize and get fighters together, and now that we have a federation he knows and it's an opportunity for him to reach out more to the grassroots."
He then registers his optimism of collaborating with the megastars to develop MMA artists in Nigeria

Kamaru Usman and Isreal Adesanya are the most popular Nigeria Mixed Martial Art fighters, currently fighting professionally in the UFC.
The duo has massive followership in Nigeria, the former world champions have expressed their desire in different fora to return to Nigeria to develop more world beaters in the nearest future.
