Former Chelsea coach Claudio Ranieri sacked
Relegation battlers Watford FC have sacked Claudio Ranieri after just three-and-a-half months in charge.
Ruthless owner Gino Pozzo was present at Vicarage Road as Norwich City ran out 3-0 winners in a humiliating outing on Friday, which was ultimately the final act in Ranieri's reign.
Ranieri who is a former Chelsea coach and widely revered after he masterminded Leicester's EPL triumph is now the latest managerial casualty in the Premier League.
At present, the Hornets are two points clear of Burnley in 17th, however, the Clarets have two games in hand, meaning Watford could end up in the bottom three should results go against them.
The former Premier League winner's departure means the club are now looking for their 18th permanent manager in the last 10 years with the likes of Chris Hughton, Frank Lampard and Sam Allardyce linked with the role.
