IMC identifies and suspends 3SC official urinating on the pitch during NPFL match in Ibadan

The man whose picture went viral urinating at the center of the Lekan Salami Stadium pitch in Ibadan over the weekend in the course NPFL match between Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC vs Akwa United has been identified and suspended by the Interim Management Committee IMC, www.234sportsng.com reports.

 

The man was identified as Auwal Mohammed who works as camp Commandant of 3SC according to a release from the Interim Management Committee and signed by NPFL Head Of Operations of the NPFL, Davidson Owumi.

The IMC categorized Auwal's action as despicable, which capable of bringing the league into disrepute thus violating some sections of the NPFL rule book. 


Consequently, Auwal Mohammed has been given a year's suspension from NPFL-relatedlated activities with immediate effect. 


Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC were also charged with violations of Rule C9 of the framework work for failure to control the conduct of their officials which resulted in a fine of five hundred thousand naira. 


Both Auwal Mohammed and 3SC however have 48 hours to appeal the decision as stipulated by the law.
