Holidaying Mbappé is "working hard" in Ibiza ahead of the new season

Football superstar Kylian Mbappé is stretching out his final days of rest, but already with his sights set on getting back to work.

The Real Madrid forward is making the most of his vacation in Ibiza, one of his favourite summer retreats, where in recent days he has been seen training at the Sánchez and Vivancos courts to regain his physical rhythm ahead of a season that is already just around the corner.

The island, the usual setting for his summer, is once again the starting point of his preparations alongside Real Madrid fitness coach Sebastien Devillaz.

The Frenchman has not been the only familiar face at the enclave. Moroccan Achraf Hakimi, PSG full-back, has also taken advantage of the same setting to regain fitness before rejoining his club.

The two, who had already been seen weeks ago enjoying the island’s leisure scene, are now swapping it for the athletics track, aware that the ball will be rolling again shortly. The UD Ibiza players, who were training at the same facilities, did not miss the chance to take photos with both stars.

Mbappé's stay on the island also has a personal side. The striker is returning to the destination with his partner, actress Ester Expósito, who shares with him a fondness for Ibiza as a place of leisure. A well-deserved break after a long season and a demanding World Cup.

His return to Valdebebas will take place next week, and it will not be just any reunion. The current LaLiga top scorer will come across a deeply transformed Real Madrid.

The bench is now occupied by José Mourinho, and numerous new faces have arrived around him. In attack, moreover, the club has strengthened its support with the arrival of Yan Diomande and has tied down one of its great partners with Vinicius's renewal until 2032. Mbappé will therefore return to a different team from the one he left, with new responsibilities and old ambitions still intact.
