Giannis masterclass gives Bucks victory over Hawks

The Milwaukee Bucks notched a 127-121 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night, improving the team's 2024-25 season record to 35-25.

The Bucks were led by yet another masterful performance from two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who notched his sixth triple-double of the year.

Antetokounmpo finished the game with a team-high 26 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Kyle Kuzma (17 points, 10 assists) and Brook Lopez (13 points, 13 rebounds) each notched double-doubles. Damian Lillard chipped in with 23 points on 50% shooting from the field.

Late in the fourth quarter, the Bucks identified Antetokounmpo as their player of the game with an announcement on social media.

"Sixth triple-double of the season for Giannis," the team wrote in its announcement on X.

Antetokounmpo is in the midst of yet another MVP-contending campaign, averaging 30.9 points, 12.1 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.3 blocks per game for Milwaukee. The Bucks currently hold the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and New York Knicks.

Antetokounmpo is currently third in 2024-25 NBA MVP odds, trailing only Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic. The six-time NBA All-Star is putting forth consistently elite production in his 12th season with the Bucks franchise.

With Tuesday night's win over the Hawks, the Bucks notched their third consecutive victory and seventh win in the last eight games. Milwaukee will look to continue this positive momentum in Wednesday night's matchup against the injury-depleted Dallas Mavericks.
