Ghana Vs Nigeria: Super Eagles will be ready for Black Stars antics- Moses Simon
Moses vs Ghana
Super Eagles and FC Nantes winger, Moses Simon has started in clear terms that Nigeria will be ready for Ghana's antics when both countries rekindle rivalry in the Qatar 2022 World Cup playoffs in March.
Still smarting from Nigeria's painful elimination from AFCON 2021, Simon told 234sportsng.com that the pain and anger of AFCON defeat will serve as the much-needed tonic to prosecute the World Cup qualifier with much determination and seriousness.
He stressed that the entire members of Super Eagles have resolved to reward Nigerians' faith in the team with a world cup ticket, adding that what is paramount before him and his teammates is to give their best against their West African neighbours.
African football fraternity was sent into ruptures after FIFA pitched Nigeria against Ghana in Qatar 2022 World Cup playoffs to set up a mouth-watering clash in a two-legged affair, but Simon stated that he is not unaware of the daunting task of facing Ghana, but assured that Nigeria will be ready for Black Stars antics.
" We have decided to put AFCON defeats behind us and focus on playing Ghana next March. We know what to expect from them but we will be ready for anything they throw at us.
" I strongly believe that the disappointment of AFCON is more than enough tonic to bring out the best in us when we meet in the playoffs.
"Nigerians deserve the best and we are prepared to make it up to them with a world cup ticket. It won't come easy but we will come back stronger and better. Let them continue to support us," he told 234sportsng.com in Garoua.
