Former Chelsea striker warns club against signing Osimhen because of his poor disciplinary record

Former Chelsea striker Tore Andre Flo has urged the London club to cool off their interest for high in high-demand Victor Osimhen and stick with Nicholas Jackson.

The Norwegian-born striker who played for Chelsea between 1997 and 2000 scoring 34 goals from 112 games said Osimhen's attitude and personality was a major concern for him and Chelsea must not rock the boat at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea is one of the English Premier League clubs linked to Osimhen, who is on loan from Napoli to Galatasaray. He has scored 31 goals this season and he is topping the Turkey League scorers' chart.

“It’s so difficult to be sure of anything, because we know Osimhen has a phenomenal scoring record, but he hasn’t played in the Premier League. If I were Chelsea or Enzo Maresca, I would stick with Jackson at the moment," said Andre Flo.

“Osimhen, I know he’s a super striker, but there have been a lot of questions as to why he’s not at his original club. What happened there? Why did he leave Napoli? I don’t know. I want the players Chelsea already has to work for the team to be good team players.

"That’s what Chelsea needs. Someone who’s working for the team. Rightly or wrongly, there are some question marks about Osimhen’s attitude and personality. That would be a worry for me.”

Chelsea tried to sign Osimhen last season, but disagreement over wages stalled the deal. The though are still interested in the player, they undecided about making a move. Osimhen who declared his wish to play in the Premier League next season has been linked to Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.
