First Lady Obaseki and Alli welcome NWFL Champions Edo Queens in style

It was a triumphant entry with pump and celebration for the reigning Nigeria Women Football League Premiership champions Edo Queens in Benin City as the Edo State Government received the victorious team back home in style on Thursday.
The homecoming red carpet reception is in fulfillment of Governor Godwin Obaseki's promises to reward hard work and excellence, geared towards making Edo state great again in all spheres.
The reception began at the Western Boys High School on Ikpoba Hill as scheduled with the First Lady of Edo State Betsy Obaseki and the Executive Chairman of Edo State Sports Commission Olympian Yussuf Alli on the ground to welcome the champions back home, leading a roadshow through some major roads, including Akpakpava Road through the King Square, Stadium Road, Akezua and Airport Road.
