The Technical Adviser of Enyimba, Finidi George has identified the inability of Enyimba to score plenty of goals and keep it clean at the back as the basic problems confronting the club as the Nigeria Professional Football League returns after a two-week mid-season break.

Enyimba has been struggling with recording consistent good results which the tactician attributed to low scoring returns as they only scored 14 goals in 19 games and conceded 16.

This has made a consistently good run of results hard to come by as Enyimba only won seven of their first 19 matches in the Nigeria Professional League.

The team lost seven games and drew the remaining five games as they finished 10th after the first stanza with 26 points, with a massive 16 points difference between them Rivers United at the summit of the league table.

This is far below the expectations of the Aba faithful as Enyimba is known to always compete for the title every season.

In a chat with 234sportsng.com, the soft-spoken tactician admitted that "all is not well with football in Aba" and things must improve to have a good placement on the league table.

Finidi said: "Football is about winning and we have not done that consistently so far".

" We have to score more goals and conceded less, that's how you place yourself in a good position on the league table, and we are working towards that".

Enyimba is tied on 26 points with Sunshine Stars and Shooting Stars of Ibadan but placed 10th behind the two clubs due to inferior goal difference as Enyimba's deficit of two goals underlines their lack of potency in the attack and porosity at the back.

Enyimba will kick start the second stanza of the season at home to Wikki Tourists on Sunday, 3 April 2022 at the Enyimba International Stadium by 4 pm.

Other fixtures slated for Sunday are as follows:
