Enyimba FC head coach, Finidi George has urged fans to pipe down on their early assessment of newly appointed club Chairman, Nwankwo Kanu.

Finidi argues that the evaluation of the Chairman’s position due to Enyimba’s elimination from the CAF Champions League is premature.

He also stated that Anyasi Agwu is a respected figure at the club, but also sued for patience with the new leadership.

In an interview on Brila FM, Finidi George backed Kanu Nwankwo as Chairman of Enyimba.

“Definitely experiences count. But I think if the boys had won this game, we would not talk about experience or no experience. So, I would say Anyasi (Felix) has done a good job with Enyimba. He is a well-respected chairman.

“Sometimes for one reason or the other, change is needed. And then, yeah, sometimes it comes with go

od tidings, sometimes not. But at this point in time, I think Kanu has just started, so you have to give him some time.”

Finidi George will now shift attention to guiding Enyimba towards retaining the league crown, after their continental heartbreak.
