Super Eagles assistant manager, Finidi George is confident the senior national team would be ready to take on the rest of the Africa team when the next edition of the AFCON tournament kicks off in Cote d'Ivoire.

In an exclusive chat with 234sportsng.com, the Enyimba International FC of Aba gaffer hinged his submission on the coaching crew's resolve to ensure that only the best legs prosecute Nigerian games without any form of favouritism.

He added that the country is blessed with abundant talents needed to raise a crack side that can take on any team in the world, but warned that every hand must be on deck to make the dream a reality.

" We have what it takes to be the best in the continent but that requires lots of hard work from players. I strongly believe we have started well and the new hunger in the boys will work In the team's favour in the long run," he said

The former Ajax star expressed delight working with Jose Peseiro and the entire coaching crew after Nigeria picked six points from two matches.

' I love the working relationship with the entire backroom staff, the energy and camaraderie in camp are what you can always look forward to. I have confidence in the team and hopefully, we will qualify for next AFCON and be ready to take on any team," he added.
