The Falconets came second in Group D behind former champions Germany.

The encounter with Japan will be held in Bogota on Thursday.

And head coach of the team, Christopher Danjuma, is over the moon after his team qualified for the knockout stage.

Danjuma in a jubilant mood. “It’s a fantastic feeling, and we don’t want to just win but also to play good football. We have a lot of talents that we want the world to see, and this is an opportunity to see those talents because 90% of them are from the local league; they are not professionals coming from anywhere in Europe,” said Danjuma during a post-match interview with FIFA.com.
