FIFA U-20 WWC: Ahmed Musa promises Falconets ‘big surprise’ ahead of Korea clash
The Falconets got off to a winning start at the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica against France
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is set to extend his philanthropic gesture to the Nigeria national u-20 women’s team, the Falconets.
Playing in under stormy conditions, the Falconets got off to a winning start at the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica; beating France by a lone goal in their Group C opener.
Flourish Sabastine scored the all-important goal in the 85th minute to give the Falconets the best possible start they would have craved for.
In a video posted on the National women’s team Twitter handle, Musa who is the Super Eagles captain put a video call across to the ladies and that act saw them jubilating

“ I promise you girls a very big surprise … for now just keep making us proud, by my own self I will do something for you,” Musa said during the video call.
The Nigerian Falconets were in a jubilant mood during Musa’s surprising call and many have commended the ‘Governor’ as the Super Eagles captain is fondly called for inspiring the youngsters.
This is not time Musa will be identifying with other teams having previously done so for the Super Falcons, Flying Eagles , Kano Pillars and Plateau United among others
The Falconets’ next game is on Sunday against the Korea Republic at the Estadio Alajuela Morera Soto.
Victory in that game for Chris Danjuma’s ladies will automatically assure Nigeria of a place in the tournament’s quarter-finals.
