Federation Cup: NFF releases venues and date of quarter-final matches as Lobi Stars dream continental

The venues and date for the quarter-final fixtures of the Federation Cup have been revealed.
According to a release by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), who are the organisers of the competition, all the quarter-final matches will be played on Wednesday, June 5.
The headline fixture of the round between Sunshine Stars and Kano Pillars will be played at the Area 3 Pitch, Abuja.
Former champions El-Kanemi will lock horns with Inter Lagos at the Bwari Stadium, Abuja.
The FIFA Goal Project, Abuja will host the encounter between Abia Warriors and Sokoto United.
EFCC FC and Kebbi United will battle at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
The winner of the competition will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

El-Kanemi Warriors (Borno) Vs Inter Lagos (Lagos) – FCT-Bwari – 05/06/24 – 4 pm
Abia Warriors (Abia) Vs Sokoto United (Sokoto) – FCT-Goal Project – 05/06/24 – 4 pm
Sunshine Stars (Ondo) Vs Kano Pillars (Kano) – FCT-Area 3 – 05/06/24 – 4 pm.
Meanwhile, Lobi Stars have renewed their determination to pick a continental ticket this season.
The Makurdi club has suffered a dip in form recently and is not in contention to win the title.
Lobi Stars are winless in their last four matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Pride of Benue is currently in fifth position on the table.
“Lobi Stars redouble their efforts, hitting the training ground with renewed determination and focus as we prepare for their upcoming fixtures,” the clubs stated on X.
“The setback only fuels their resolve to bounce back stronger and reclaim their winning form.”
Lobi Stars will take in Doma United at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe on on Saturday.
