Federation Cup: Kwara FA plans massive support for Kwara United in the final against Abakaliki FC
The Kwara State Football Association has outlined plans to support Kwara United in their bid to win the 2025 President's Federation Cup.
The chairman of the association, Idris Thuraya, stated that they will mobilise supporters and stakeholders for the match.
Thuraya emphasised that media professionals from the state will also be needed to give the team’s achievements the publicity they require.
Kwara United will lock horns with Nigeria National League, NNL side Abakaliki FC at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
The encounter is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
“We must augment the government’s efforts. We need to mobilise supporters and stakeholders who have an interest in football to accompany the team to Lagos,” Thuraya told the Kwara State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria.
“It is also important to move media professionals to Lagos to give this achievement the publicity it deserves.”
