Fabregas magic continues as Como qualifies for the Champions League
Como have qualified for the Champions League after a
4-1 win over Cremonese and Milan’s 2-1 home loss to Cagliari on Sunday allowed the Azzurri to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history.
The match in Cremona finished shortly before Milan-Cagliari, so Como players watched the final moments at San Siro on a mobile phone from the sidelines.
When the referee blew the final whistle at the Milan-Cagliari match, the Como players and staff erupted in joy, wearing new celebratory t-shirts.’Como si dice Champions?’ A phrase that mixes Italian and Spanish, meaning: ‘How do you say Champions League?’
Fabregas gathered his players on the pitch during the celebrations and gave the final speech of the season: “I had a feeling, and I always go by feelings,” Fabregas said.
“But this was up to you. It was all thanks to you. We try to help you, give you certain solutions, but you are the reason why this is so fu***** beaufitul.”
Even Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, a minority shareholder at Como, celebrated the team’s feat, reposting the video of Como players celebrating and writing: “Champions League” along with fire emojis.
Jorge Valdano comes to Mbappé's defence: "He is not a fraud, he is perhaps the best player in the world"
