EPL: More woes for Dennis, Watford as Liverpool shoot to top spot
The Super Eagles trio of William Troost-Ekong, Samuel Kalu and Oghenekaro Etebo were all missing in action for Watford as they were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool
Not going to the World Cup and relegating to the Championship may be the sad reality for the Nigerian players at English Premier League side, Watford.
On Saturday in the early kickoff at Anfield, the Super Eagles trio of William Troost-Ekong, Samuel Kalu and Oghenekaro Etebo were all missing in action for Watford as they were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool
Though their Nigerian compatriot Emmanuel Dennis climbed off the bench to taste 12 minutes of action, they could not change the complexion of the game as the Reds bossed the one-sided affair.

Diogo Jota and Fabinho scored in the 22nd and 89th minutes respectively as Reds shot to the top of the log ahead of Man City and compounded the woes of relegation-threatened Hornets.
Watford were left ruing missed opportunities as they came away from Anfield on the end of a close-fought 2-0 defeat to title-chasing Liverpool.
Diogo Jota punished a big miss from Juraj Kucka in the first half, after a positive start from the visitors, to give the hosts the lead.
Joao Pedro then squandered an even bigger chance in the second half, while the hosts struggled to create decisive openings of their own.
Fabinho’s penalty late on sealed the defeat, leaving Watford three points behind 17th place Everton, who also have three games in hand.
