Casemiro will miss Manchester United’s Premier League fixture against Arsenal after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Erik ten Hag decided to risk Casemiro for the league match against Crystal Palace with the United manager hoping to lead his side to a 10th straight win.
The Brazil international managed to avoid a caution until the 81st minute when his foul on Wilfried Zaha left referee Robert Jones with no choice but to brandish a yellow card.
Ten Hag will now have to deploy Fred or Scott McTominay in midfield in place of the summer signing from Real Madrid.
