Egypt 2023: Flying Eagles beat Congo Brazzaville in friendly

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria came from a goal down to edge Congo Brazzaville U20 2-1 in a preparatory match played at Complexe Sportif, Sidi Mohammed, Ain Sebaa, Casablanca.


Goals from subtitles, Emmanuel Uchegbu and Olamilekan Adams sealed the win for the U20 men's team as the Flying Eagles maintained their 100 percent unbeaten record taking their wins to 17 out of 17 friendlies as they continue their preparation for the U 20 Africa Cup of Nations billed for Egypt later in the month.


Oniangue Salomon opened the scoring for the Congolese 21 minutes into the first half.   


Emmanuel Uchegbu came in for Ibrahim and scored  the equalizer minutes in the second half with a solo effort.

The Flying Eagles dominated both the 1st and 2nd half but failed to convert numerous chances that came their way in the match.


The flying Eagles' next preparatory game is against Central Africa Republic. 


Nigeria found itself in a very tough group that comprises host Egypt and West African football powerhouse, Senegal as well as Mozambique.
