The players union PFAN has demanded the immediate resignation of the Chairman of the NFF Electoral Committee Aikhungire. A Malik as he is a partner of the personal lawyer of outgoing NFF President Amaju Pinnick
The PFAN also alleged that another member of the Electoral Committee, Robinson Ariyo, is also closely related to Pinnick.
“They should both resign on the grounds of conflict of interest,” said PFAN Deputy General Secretary Edema Fuludu in a statement today.
“They have 72 hours to do so.”
Pinnick said on a TV interview last week that he will not interfere but intervene in the process of who succeeds him as NFF President.
Both the NFF Electoral Committee and the NFF Elections Appeals Committee have yet to be inaugurated.
