Commonwealth Games: Umoafia clinches bronze in weightlifting

Nigerian weightlifters picked another medal on Sunday afternoon to continue their fairy-tale run at the on-going Commonwealth Games.

Nigerian weightlifters seems to be in the form of their lives at the on-going Commonwealth Games after a bronze was added to the country's medal haul on Sunday.
 
 
Nigeria’s weightlifter Edidiong Joseph Umoafia clinched a bronze medal in the men’s 67kg category on Sunday.
 
Recall that Olarinoye Adenike Adijat on Saturday evening won a combined lift of 203 GR (92 GR + 111) in the Weightlifting category – Women’s 55 kg.
 
 
Umoafia lifted a combined 290kg (Snatch, Clean & Jerk) to get on the podium.
 
Team Nigeria confirmed the cheering news on it's twitter account on Sunday.
