Tennis star Coco Gauff is already in New York with her sights set on one of the biggest challenges of her season. The American is preparing to compete at the 2026 US Open, but before returning to the court, she has taken advantage of her time in the city to show a more spontaneous side away from competition, as her recent posts suggest.

The tennis star shared several videos on TikTok from the city. In one, she appears in front of a mirror lip-syncing, while another shows her walking through the streets, completely immersed in the New York atmosphere.

For the videos, Gauff opted for a much more relaxed look: a black dress with lace details and some sheer elements, along with her hair worn loose and curly. The scene was far removed from the focus she usually displays during tournaments and offered a glimpse of a much more spontaneous Coco.

But her posts did not end with videos from around the city. In another recent appearance, Gauff shared a gift she received with her followers, and it quickly became another small source of excitement for the tennis star.

The gift consisted of Spider-Man comics connected to the US Open. Gauff showed some of them as she opened the package, making it clear how excited she was to discover what was inside each one.

She even mentioned thinking about giving some to her friends, showing she didn't want to keep everything for herself. There was also one detail that made the moment even more special: among the different editions, there was one she was particularly hoping to find.

After opening several, she finally found the one she wanted. The tennis star's spontaneous reaction turned something as simple as opening a comic into one of those small moments that offer a glimpse of Gauff away from the court.

These moments come just after an important week for Gauff. She is coming off a WTA 1000 title in Cincinnati, where she defeated Jessica Pegula 6-2, 6-4 in the final on August 23, earning her first title of the season and the fourth WTA 1000 title of her career.

Now, her next major goal awaits in New York. Gauff enters the US Open as the No. 4 seed and will make her debut on Tuesday, September 1, against Turkey's Zeynep Sönmez at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
