Following her victory over Martic, Gauff is set to break the $6 million mark for prize money on the WTA circuit. The American sits second on the top-earners list for 2023, with $5,557,372. World No.1 Sabalenka currently sits at the top of that list, having raked in $7,369,635.

Former World No.1 Iga Swiatek is third with $5,455,686 and there is big money up for grabs in the WTA event in Beijing this week, with the winner set to win a significant $1,324,000.
