NBA legend Charles Barkley has been one of the most outspoken NBA players in recent memory and sometimes his comments have had some negative ramifications as he has been someone who always speaks the truth as he sees it.

Barkley made an appearance this week in Tom Brady's "Let's Go" podcast and shared that one of the regrets he has about being that forward with his comments on interviews throught his career is the fact that its made him even lose a valued friendship.

Barkley said that one of the things he regrets about calling things as he sees them is when one of his comments tarnished his relationship with Michael Jordan, and said losing a friendship like that is the most prominent thing that has happened to him, despite thinking he was just being honest while sharing his thoughts at the time.

"I said, 'Listen, the toughest thing about Michael, he's got to put better people around him,'" Barkley continued, reflecting on the source of their feud. "Because the toughest thing, when you're famous, they're on your private jet, you're buying all the drinks, you're buying all the dinners. Very few people are gonna be honest with you. And I try to surround myself with people like, 'Hey, if I'm screwing up, please tell me.'"

Barkley added that him and Michael were best friends at the time, but ever since Jordan felt offended and the pair haven't spoken in almost 10 years.

The former player made those statements during an appearance in The Waddle & Silvy Show on ESPN back in 2012, regarding Jordan's biggest problem being not hiring enough people around him that he would listen to.

"They want to fly around on your private jet so they never disagree with you. I don't think Michael has hired enough people around him who will disagree."
