Champions League: Lookman thrilled at the prospect of facing Barcelona again

Atletico Madrid set up a Spanish derby in the quarter-final of the Champions League after a 7-5 aggregate win over Tottenham on Wednesday night, and striker Ademola Lookman cannot hide his excitement at meeting Barcelona again.

Lookman, who joined the Rojiblancos in January, contributed to their Copa del Rey win over Barcelona in February, and ahead of the quarter-final tie, he is hoping for a repeat performance against the La Liga table toppers.

“Barcelona will be a special, special game against another tough opponent. We need to be ready for it, and we’ll prepare appropriately. Let’s take it as it comes,” said Lookman.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid manager admitted that against Barcelona in April, it will be a hard game, but his team will compete to win.

“Barcelona is better than us, but it will push us to compete, hopefully, in the best way possible.

"We're trying to compete with Barcelona, who are the team we're drawn against. I do not doubt that they are the best attacking team in Europe."

The winner will face either Arsenal or Sporting Lisbon in the semi-final
