Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga and Rodrygo Goes will be delighted if PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe become their club teammate this summer but the French President Emmanuel Marcon whose personal invention stopped the French striker from joining Madrid two years ago is ready to play the spoiler role again. ]

Camavinga was asked by the French press regarding the future of Mbappé. “Kylian Mbappé's future? He has spoken as you have noted. I have nothing to say. I would be very happy if he were to come to Real Madrid. He is a great player. Everyone would want Mbappé in their team. He made a decision and we have to respect it,” he said at the press conference.

Camavinga, who just completed his second season at Real Madrid, then responded to a question about the PSG player’s attitude. “I haven’t seen him since last night. He’s been his usual self, I haven’t noticed him adopting a different attitude. He’s normal,” he added.

Camavinga also responded to a question about whether he prefers to play left-back or in midfield with the national team. “I wouldn’t say it’s a problem to be at full-back, I played the second half of the season in that position. I’m starting to get my bearings in that position and I’m here to help the squad. The most important thing is to help the team. You have to be versatile.”

Also Brazilian international Rodrygo has spoken of how happy he would be to see the French forward join him in the Spanish capital.

Rodrygo like many of his teammates is currently on international duty, but that doesn't mean he can escape the rumour mill.He was asked at a press conference to say how excited he'd be by Mbappe joining Madrid on a scale of one to 10.

"For me, 10, because he's a phenomenon, he's one of the best players in the world and we know that we need a player there, in the position he likes to play," said Rodrygo.

"I'd be very excited if Mbappe came, but he has a contract in Paris and we have to respect that.

"The sooner [he joins] the better, but if Mbappe can't come now, there are other players. Florentino [Perez] and [Carlo] Ancelotti will decide what's best for Real Madrid."

Meanwhile,  French President Emmanuel Macron whose intervention stopped Mbappe from joining Madrid the last time is ready to intervene again.

He hopes to be able to convince Mbappe to sign a new contract at PSG, via Diario AS.

“I have no news about it, but I will try to push for him to stay.”

Real Madrid are the frontrunners to sign Mbappe, having been interested in signing him for the last few years. However, latest reports suggest that they will wait until next summer to sign him, meaning that he would arrive without a transfer fee.
