CAF Awards 2024: Nnadozie makes women’s Player of the Year final shortlist
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has made the final shortlist for the 2024 CAF Women’s Player of the Year.
The Paris FC shot-stopper will battle four other players for the individual accolade.
The other nominees are Morocco’s Sanna Msoudy and Barbara Banda of Zambia, as well as the Malawian duo, Tabitha Chawinga and Themwa Chawinga.
Nnadozie is also in contention for the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award.
The 24-year-old won the inaugural award in 2023.
The award ceremony will be held on 16 December 2024 in Marrakech, Morocco.
Falconets star Chiamaka Okwuchukwu is also nominated for the Young Player of the Year.
Okwuchukwu starred for Chris Danjuma’s side at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
The Super Falcons are also in contention for the Women’s National Team of the Year.
Nigerian champions Edo Queens are also nominated for the Women’s Club of the Year.
The CAF Awards 2024 covers the period between January 2024 and October 2024.
